Clean Sweep

He’s a hockey player, not a housekeeper.

Cameron Bowes is the face of the San Francisco Dragons, so when the team needs a gimmick to improve their fan relations, Cameron becomes the focus of the new video "At Home with a Dragon". Unfortunately for Cam, his bachelor pad looks like an earthquake hit it. Repeatedly.

She’s the sexy maid a teammate hires as a joke.

Dakota Kelly has been working non-stop since she was unexpectedly given custody of her young niece. Though the little girl's grandmother swooped in to help, the old woman's overbearing ways have left Dakota no choice but to work as a janitor and moonlight as a maid in the hopes of one day getting some much-needed space from her niece's highly controlling Nana.

Lucky for Cam, Dakota turns out to be the miracle worker he desperately needs, and he jumps at the chance to hire her as his live-in housekeeper. Soon, the two can no longer ignore their smoldering chemistry, and it seems turning their business relationship into a happily-ever-after for all three of them will be the next play. There's just one problem: Nana doesn't approve, and she's not about to let her granddaughter go without a fight.

Excerpt

“Cam, I’m so sorry you were dragged into this and I’m sorry about falling apart on you before. I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to wash your hands of the both of us.”

He waved a hand as if it had not been one of the shittiest, most painful phone conversations he’d ever had. He’d felt so damned helpless even though every atom in his body had wanted to help her.

“No apologies necessary. I’m completely invested in this with you. Ellen wants to take Zinny away from you? Over my dead body. We’re going to get you a lawyer tomorrow and make sure Zinny stays with you.”

“I have money in savings and I’m willing to spend whatever it takes, because even if she is Zinny’s grandmother, she’s not taking Zinny away from me.”

As she pressed her lips together, tears welled in her eyes and spilled over, making her look so damned vulnerable, not at all like the strong, dynamic go-getter he was used to.

“Hey, hey, come here. Don’t cry.” He cupped her cheeks and caught her gaze. “You’re not going to lose her. That’s a solid promise.” Then, knowing he shouldn’t, that this was extremely dangerous, he took her into his arms.

She felt so perfect, so soft and womanly, he didn’t ever want to let go, especially when, after the initial surprise, she relaxed against him and pressed her face to his chest and cried silently. Her shoulders shook and he held her as her tears soaked into his shirt. It was wonderful and horrible at the same time. He hated that she was crying, but loved that he was holding her at last.

He murmured softly against her hair as gradually she got control of herself, because he knew her. His Dakota liked to be in control, to be strong and unflappably independent. She was probably hating this show of weakness.

He leaned back so he could see her face. She looked up at him again and all he could focus on was her lush mouth. She had his shirt balled up in her hands and he was starting to get hard, which was sort of an asshole thing to do. She was upset. She wasn’t looking for a game of hide the salami. And yet, he didn’t have any control over his dick. Never had. Never would.

Just one kiss, he thought. Just to see if she tasted as sweet as he thought she would, to feel her respond to his mouth covering hers. Even if he was a dick for taking advantage of her while she was torn up and worried.

Slowly, he lowered his head, all the while maintaining eye contact. He watched for signs that she didn’t want this kiss. He saw none. He saw a little fear. He saw uncertainty, but he also saw desire. He felt that incredible pull, the same pull he’d felt from the day they’d met when he’d first laid eyes on her in that sexy bra and panties.

After what seemed like an hour, their mouths finally met. He kept the touch light and gentle. She didn’t retreat. He kissed her again, increasing the pressure slightly, brushing his mouth across hers. It was torture trying to hold back the intense lust surging through his body, but he managed it. He kissed the corner of her mouth, her cheek, the side of her neck, and she exhaled and arched slightly.

“God, Dakota, I’ve wanted to do this for so long,” he said in a gruff voice. “Tell me you want it too.”

Animal Attraction

What do you do when an NHL player steals your dog and won’t give it back?

Maggie Hudson made a heartbreaking decision nine years ago that has haunted her ever since. To fill the hole in her life, she showers her rescue dog with love and affection. But one day, Kirby goes missing.

Three months later, NHL player Spencer Corbett is astonished when Maggie shows up on his doorstep demanding her dog back. He’d found the pug on the side of the road, collarless and in bad shape. But even when confronted with hard evidence she’s the dog’s owner, he begs her to reconsider. His own elderly dog is on her last legs and Kirby has given her a new lease on life.

After Maggie relents, Spencer can’t help but fall for her. Not only is she the most compassionate and selfless person he’s ever met, she’s witty, intelligent and sexier than sin and doesn’t even realize. What starts out as a friendship quickly turns into more, but when a woman from Spencer’s past throws everything into chaos, their fragile relationship is put to the ultimate test.

Animal Attraction can be read and enjoyed as a standalone sports romance.
